👋 Hello, my name is Elena Kuraeva. Here I will tell you how I became a UX/UI designer with experience in development and a passion for teaching and productivity
  1. Spent a year working as the sole designer at a company specializing in medical devices, where I handled all projects from scratch. Eventually, I had to resign due to relocation.
  2. Created two personal projects from scratch for learning purposes: one focused on habits and the other for mothers to track feedings, sleep, etc.
  3. Redesigned my husband's applications since he's an app developer.
In summary:
My work helps users achieve their goals. I create functional and user-friendly interfaces
I am a UX/UI Designer
After discovering the field of UX/UI on YouTube around 2022, I began studying Alan Cooper's book "About Face: The Essentials of Interaction Design". I simultaneously started my first project, naturally, incorporating productivity habits because I'm passionate about the topic.
And then it took off...
First Introduction to UX/UI
Alongside studying engineering at the university, I created my first application for memorizing words/phrases using spaced repetition method in 2020. After graduation, I wanted to improve my application because I saw from feedback and emails that it was beneficial. That's when I stumbled upon the field of UX/UI design
Developer Background
I love mathematics. I started teaching it to schoolchildren at the university in 2015. In my classes, I use techniques for more effective memorization. I believe that all this experience helps me think logically, analyze the needs of users well, and make informed decisions
